Prizren, 22.09.2002: Punëtoria ndërkombëtare "Ruajtja e qytetit të vjetër të
Prizrenit
drejt njerëzve - së bashku me njerëzit" përfundoi dje në Hamamin historik
turk të "Gazi Mehmed Pashës" në Prizren. Ekspertë kosovarë dhe ndërkombëtarë
sikurse edhe përfaqësues të administratave lokale dhe qeveritare diskutuan
problemet e mbrojtjes të pjesës së vjetër dhe historike të Prizrenit.
Punëtoria u
organizua nga dy organizata joqeveritare, Shoqata Rajonale Kolping Kosova
dhe Shoqata Numizmatike me përkrahjen e Ministrisë së Kulturës.
Ekspertë nga Shqipëria, Turqia, Italia dhe Gjermania prezantuan projektet e
tyre dhe  demonstruan mënyra të ndryshme për ruatjen e qytetit të vjetër të
Prizrenit. Znj. Gjejlane Hoxha, drejtoreshë e Kulturës në Ministrin e
Kulturës
së Kosovës shpalosi planet e Ministrisë. Përfaqësuesit e administratës
komunale dhe Instituti për Mbrojtjen e Monumenteve Historike raportuan
aktivitetet
e tyre respektive.
Gjatë një shëtitje nëpër qytetin e vjetër ekspertët shprehën shqetësimin e
tyre për dëmtimin e vazhdueshëm të ndërtesave dhe rrugëve historike. Ata
ishin
të mendimit që është shumë i nevojshëm një reagim i menjëhershëm. Vonesat e
mëtejshme do të rrezikonin imazhin dhe shpirtin e Prizrenit.
Gjithashtu diskutimet treguan nevojën për intensifikimi e bashkëpunimit në
projekte të caktuara dhe vazhdueshmëri të shkëmbehen informacionat të
pëfshira
midis Ministrisë, Komunës dhe personave të tjerë të përfshirë. Këto
diskutime të marra në veçanti supozoheshin të ishin një sukses i seminarit.
Pjesëmarrësit ishin të pajtimit që puna e institucioneve për mbrojtjen e
monumenteve historike mund të ishte e suksesshme vetëm nëse do të merreshin
parasysh nevojat e banorëve. Nga ana tjetër ato duhet të mbulojnë
pjesëmarrjen
aktive dhe mbështetjen e qytetarëve. Në këtë fushë organizatat joqeveritare
si
Kolping Kosova dhe Shoqata Numizmatike mund të luajnë një rol të rëndësishëm
si urë lidhëse midis institucioneve dhe qytetarëve.
Vetë seminari mund të ishte një hap i vogël në rrugën drejt një Prizreni më
të bukur dhe më tërheqës. Nuk i dha zgjidhje të gjitha problemeve. Por
përgatiti hapa të mëdhenj.

Prizren, 22.09.2002: The International Workshop "Save the old town of
Prizren: Towards the people - together with the people" was closed yesterday
in the
historic Turkish Bath "Gazi Mehmed Pasha" in Prizren. International and
Kosovarian Experts as well as representatives of the government and the
local
administration discussed problems of the protection of the old historical
site
of Prizren. The workshop was organised by two Kosovarian Nongovernmental
Organisations, the Kosovarian Kolping Association and the Numismatic
Society.
The experts from Albania, Turkey, Italy, and Germany presented their
projects and, thus, demonstrated ways how the old town of Prizren may be
saved. Mrs.
Gjejelane Hoxha, Direc-tor of Culture in the Ministry of Culture of Kosova,
elucidated the plans of the Ministry. The representatives of the municipal
administration and the Institute for Protection of Historical Monuments
reported their regarding activities.
During a walk trough the old town the experts expressed their regards and
their worries about the present of the historical buildings and streets.
They
agreed that only immediate action can help. In case of delays Prizren will
loose his face and his heart. Moreover, it will lose the re-sources for a
developing tourist industry in the town.
The discussions demonstrated too, how necessary an intensification of the
co-operation in certain projects and an continuous exchange of information
between the ministry, the munici-pality, and the other involved persons and
institutions still is. These discussions alone were supposed to be a success
of
the workshop.
The participants agreed, that the work of the institutions of historical
monument's protection might be successful only under the condition, that the
needs of the inhabitants are considered. On the other hand, they must
recover
citizens for active participation and support. In that field,
Nongovernmental
Organisation like Kolping Kosova and Numismatic Society may play an
important
role as a link between institutions and citizens.
The workshop itself might be one small step on the way to a more beautiful
and attractive Prizren town. It did not solve all problems. But it prepared
bigger steps.

Prizren: Im historischen Hamam "Gazi Mehmed Pasha" in Prizren ist am
vergangenen Samstag der Workshop "Schützt die Altstadt von Prizren: Mit den
Menschen
- Für die Menschen" zu Ende gegangen. Internationale und kosovarische
Experten sowie Repräsentanten von Regierung und Kommunalverwaltung
diskutierten
Probleme des Schutzes der historischen Altstadt von Prizren. Organisiert
wurde
der Workshop von zwei kosovarischenn Nichtregierungsorganisationen, dem
Kosovarischen Kolpingwerk und der Numismatischen Gesellschaft mit
Unterstützung des
Ministeriums für Kultur.
Die Experten aus Albanien, der Türkei, Italien und Deutschland präsentierten
ihre Projekte und zeigten so Wege auf, wie die Altstadt von Prizren zu
retten sein kann. Frau Gjejlane Hoxha, die Direktorin für Kultur im
Kulturministerium Prishtina erläuterte die Pläne des Ministeriums.
Repräsentanten der
Kommunalverwaltung und des Institutes für Denkmalschutz berichteten von
ihren
Aktivitäten.
Auf einem Spaziergang durch die Stadt zeigten sie sich alle Teilnehmer
einmal mehr entsetzt, wie schlecht erhalten die historischen Gebäude und
Straßen
sind. Sie waren sich einig, dass nur unverzügliche Aktionen noch helfen
können. Wenn nicht schnell gehandelt wird, dann verliert Prizren sein
Gesicht und
sein Herz. Zudem gehen auch alle seine Ressourcen, die ein sich
entwickelnder
Tourismus bieten könnte, dahin.
In den Diskussionen zeigte sich, wie notwendig eine Intensivierung der
Kooperation und des Informationsaustauschs zwischen Ministerium, Kommune und
den
anderen Akteuren noch immer ist. Allein diese Diskussionen stellen schon
einen
Erfolg des Workshops dar.
Die Teilnehmer waren sich darüber hinaus einig, dass die Arbeit der
Denkmalschutzinstitutionen nur dann erfolgreich sein kann, wenn sie die
Bedürfnisse
der Einwohner der Altstadt berücksichtigt. Andererseits müssen sie aber auch
die Bürger zu aktiver Mitarbeit und Unterstützung gewinnen. Hier können die
Nichtregierungsorganisationen wie Kolping Kosova und die Numismatische
Gesellschaft, welche die Zivilgesellschaft repräsentieren, eine wichtige
Rolle als
Bindeglied zwischen Institutionen und Einwohnern spielen.
Der Workshop stellte nur einen kleinen Schritt auf dem Weg zu einem
schöneren Prizren dar. Er hat natürlich nicht alle Probleme gelösst. Aber er
hat
größere Schritte vorbereitet.
