[Prishtina-E] New letter: Withold financial aid for the FRY if the Albanian prisoners are not released or transfered to Kosova by March 31, 2002!

Dear friends,

As we watch the Milosevic trial now in the Hague, we must remember that 194
Albanians remain in Serb prisons, still not transfered to the jurisdiction
of UNMIK.

We urge politicians all over the world to withold financial aid for the FRY
and block its membership into the Council of Europe, if these prisoners are
not released or transfered to Kosova by March 31, 2002.

 - Open letter to politicians and medias all around the world -

 Dear Ladies and Sirs,

As we watch the Milosevic trial now in the Hague, we must remember that 194
Albanians remain in Serb prisons, still not transfered to the jurisdiction
of UNMIK.

During the repression and the war in Kosova, Serb police and paramilitaries
rounded up thousands of Albanian civilians. The surveillance of Albanians
had been going on for years. Paramilitaries and special police units were
given lists of people to arrest--all coordinated by Milosevic, Pavkovic,
Lukic and others.

By refusing to recognize the jurisdiction of UNMIK and by refusing to
follow international norms like the Geneva Conventions, President Kostunica
and others are still supporting the brutal policies of Slobodan Milosevic,
even while he is on trial for the ethnic cleansing of Kosova.

If these prisoners are not released or transfered to Kosova by March 31,
2002, we urge you to withold financial aid for the FRY and block its
membership into the Council of Europe.
