That is a great question Erkanda, but I believe that when the term minority is used in the United States, it is defined on a racial basis. Therefore, since we identify ourselves as Caucasian of Eropean origin (an assumption), then we do not belong in the category of minorities. What a coincidence, that we as Albanians were sometimes refered to minorities, in the context of former yugoslavia, and yet we learn than in the U.S. we happen to belong to the majority. >From: Erkanda Bujari <eb246 at columbia.edu> >Reply-To: nyc-l at alb-net.com >To: nyc-l at alb-net.com >Subject: [NYC-L] [Fwd: [CTC] Gates Millenuim Scholarship Program] (fwd) >Date: Mon, 6 Mar 2000 23:26:18 -0500 (EST) > > === NYC-L: New York City Discussion Forum === > > >Are Albanians considered a minority here?
