[Please distribute] INTERPRETERS NEEDED FOR U.S. ARMY IN THE BALKANS TRW S&ITG has a contract with the US Army to provide interpreters in support of U.S. peacekeeping forces in the Balkans. TRW must identify individuals who meet specific qualifications and are willing and able to deploy to the Balkans (Kosova) Requirements: US citizenship. Near native or native proficiency in Albanian. Excellent English skills. Good physical condition. All candidates must undergo a security background check, a language test, and a medical exam. Individuals who meet the above conditions will be offered one-year agreements and be paid $4,000 per month plus a bonus every six months. Transportation costs, housing, food, medical and life insurance will be provided. The Process The first step is to prepare your resume. Highlight your work experience, education, linguistic skills and any special qualifications or experience that would make you valuable to our program. Fax your resume to (703) 968-1276 along with a cover letter and a short paragraph in both languages describing why you would like to have this job. We will review your resume in order to determine whether your skills, expertise and experience are in compliance with our requirements. We will contact individuals whose candidacy we wish to pursue and conduct a telephone pre-screening interview. Should we determine that you meet our criteria, we will send you a Candidate Data Sheet (CDS) and Questionnaire for National Security Positions (SF-86) for you to complete and return to us. Upon review of your CDS and SF-86, we will invite those we consider qualified to our next candidate screening session. Screening covers three days and takes place at our offices in Fairfax, VA near Washington, D.C. We pay all allowable expenses related to the screening. Should you successfully pass the screening process, you will be invited to sign a renewable one-year agreement and deploy to the Balkans as an interpreter as additional requirement for interpreters are requested by U.S. Army. The Job Interpreters will support peacekeeping operations and have the opportunity to interact with many influential decision-makers. These experiences may open doors for rewarding future careers with other organizations. Our linguists occupy a variety of positions; interpreting for high ranking U.S. Army officers, special teams, unique units, civilian political advisors and other civilian officials. Linguists come into contact with governmental political and military leaders and the local population. Interpreters live on an American Army base, eat in the dining facility, wear Army issued uniforms, and enjoy the same facilities as the soldiers * fitness centers, shopping, movie theaters, etc. TRW Linguists are under the protection of the U.S. Military in the operational Area.
