Are you an experienced and determined professional, aware of and concerned
with women's issues in
developing countries? Mercy Corps has a management opportunity in our
Women's Initiative project. 

This position will be responsible for supervision of project staff, project

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience in
project management, including
demonstrated proposal development skills. Two years minimum experience in
an overseas setting, including

in North Korea? 

We are seeking an experienced and creative person to ensure the success of
our strategic objectives by
assisting in
grant administration, facilitating communications with external agencies
and nurturing relationships with other
key organizations. 

The successful candidate will have a degree in International Relations or
similar field, (or equivalent) and
exposure to overseas environments and international development issues with
experience in Asia. 

This position requires demonstrated grant writing and administration
skills, and proven experience in budget
oversight and fostering relations. Excellent verbal and written
communication skills, outstanding computer skills
and a demonstrated ability to work in a "team" are required. A working
knowledge of international systems,
economics, politics, human rights and environmental issues and past
experience with US government grants
preferred.
