This list has been created for the purpose of sharing information, news,
ideas and networking contacts for the Kosova Action Network (KAN).  Feel
free to post anything related to our work to provide support for those in
Kosova.

The Network was established in December, 1997 with the purpose of
supporting the Independent Students Union of the University of Prishtine in
their bid to regain access to their university buildings through active
non-violent protests.  We remain committed to justice and following the
onset of war in Kosova in March, 1998, KAN has broadened its scope and now
seeks to raise awareness of the unique needs of the province of Kosova,
FYR.  We continue to share resources, and create links with American
universities, social justice organizations, and relief agencies.  We seek
to support democratic and politically just solutions in Kosova.  In
addition, we support the Kosovo Action Council in Washington, D.C. in their
work to forge long-term, just political solutions.

We have Mentor Cana and Alb-net to thank for the hard work they put into
creating this resource for us.
