  Internet to be introduced in schools

TIRANE, Jan 22 (ATA)- By P. Shuteriqi, Internet will be
present in Albanian schools soon, sources
close to the Ministry of Education told ATA.
This contemporary information system will initially be
distributed to the biggest schools of the
country, enabling school children, through 'e-mail', to
send and receive messages from their
fellows in and outside Albania.
Computer science is also being taught in all the
secondary schools and a considerable number of
computers have been installed.
Alongside strengthening of the secondary school
laboratory base, computers will also used in
eight-year schools, despite the difficult economic
conditions of Albania.
