[Gjakova-L] Gezuar Diten e Flamurit!

Te gjithe bashkatdhetareve dhe miqeve te shqiptareve kudo ne bote:
Per shume mot GEZUAR DITEN E FLAMURIT!

Ferhat Ymeri (Ymeraga) me familjen: bashkeshorten Anne Fontaine dhe djalin
Erik-Dardan  Ymeraga

Te shtunen, me 25 nentor, 2000, nga ora 11 paradreke deri me 4 pasdreke
Bashkesia Shqiptare ne rajonin Puget Sound (Seattle me rrethine), te shtetit 
Washington, (ku jetojne rreth 300 shqiptare) kremtoi me gezim e hare Diten e 
Flamurit.

U bashkuan mbi 200 shqiptare, perkatesisht shqiptaro amerikane, dhe miq te 
tyre ne sallen e "Veterans of Foreign Wars" ne Redmond, Washington.
Gezimi shkelqente ne syte e pjesemarresve: te moshuareve, grave, burrave,
te rinjeve dhe te rejave si dhe te femijeve, qe loznin e vallezonin si zogj 
te gezuar.
Ishte nje takim i enderruar me vite dhe pas perpjekjeve disavjecare per t'u
bashkuar ne kete dite te shenjte kombetare.
Pasi u nderuan Deshmoret e Kombit, te gjithe ata qe gjate historise 
sakrifikuan
jeten per lirine e Shqiperise etnike, pasi u degjua Hymni amerikan dhe ai
shqiptar, u shfaq nje montazh letrar me poezi te Naimit, Nolit, Konices 
(proza poetike)
Fishtes, Bilall Xhaferrit, Mitrush Kutelit dhe Asdrenit (Hymni Flamurit).
Me ushqime te kuzhines shqiptare, kenge e valle te bukura nga te gjitha
anet e Shqiperise etnike, u krijua nje atmosfere vertet festive, nje vater
e pamjeve, zerave, ngjyrave dhe shijes shqiptare, e cila e ngjalli dhe e 
freskoi
frymen fatlume te bashkimit kombetar.

Ne fjalen pershendetese, autori i ketyre rradheve, midis te tjerave, tha:

TE NDERUAR BASHATDHETARE DHE MIQ TE SHQIPTAREVE

"Padrejtesite historike, me shume se fati, i ndane shqiptaret. Po tashme u be
gati nje dekade qe kur ra "Muri i Berlinit" mes per mes atdheut shqiptar, dhe 
komunikimi e lidhjet brendakombetare u perterine, u gjalleruan. Pasoi akti
i rinjohjes, si ne kenget popullore e baladat shqiptare. 
Shqiperia e tregoi zemren e saj te madhe ne pranveren e vitit 1999, kur i hapi
portat e shtepive e te zemrave per mbi nje gjysme milioni shqiptare, vellezer 
te nje gjaku nga Kosova, te debuar me dhune nga hordhite serbe.
Gjate ketij akti te tmerrshem te tragjedise ballkanike, shpirti dhe ndergjegja
shqiptare qendoi ne lartesite e veta te njerezishme e fisnike.

Dita e pavaresise se Shqiperise - Dita e Flamurit, eshte simbol i bashkimit
kombetar dhe i forces e shpreses qe sjelle ky bashkim. A ka dite me te bukur
se Dita e Flamurit qe edhe ne ketu, ne Washington, te jemi te bashkuar?
SHEKULLI XX NA NDAU. LE TE BASHKOHEMI NE SHEKULLIN XXI.

Dear Friends

"Historic injustice, more than destiny, separated Albanians. But it's been now
almost a decade since the Albanian "Berlin Wall" crumbled down and 
communications and bonds between Albanians, on both sides of the border,
are being renewed and rejuvenated.  This is the act of reacquaintance like in 
the
old Albanian folk-songs and balads.

Albania showed her great heart in spring 1999, when she opened the doors of 
her homes and hearts for more than half-a-million Albanians, with blood ties,
from Kosova, who were brutally deported from their homes by Serb hordes.
During this horrible act of the Balkan tragedy, the Albanian soul and 
consciousness showed its profound graciousness and nobility.

Independence Day - Flag Day - is a symbol of Albanian national unity
and the strength and hope that this unity brings about.
For us too, here in Washington, there is not any better day than Flag Day
to gather together in the spirit of brotherhood and unity.

THE TWENTIETH CENTURY SEPARATED US.  LET US UNITE IN THE 21ST CENTURY."
