Abstract:
 Fellowships for East European Studies are for research in the social
sciences and humanities relating to Albania, Bulgaria, the Czech
Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania,
Slovakia, and the successor states of the former Yugoslavia. Proposals
dealing with Albania, Bulgaria, Romania, and the former Yugoslavia are
particularly encouraged. These programs are intended to support research
undertaken outside East Europe, although short visits to the area may be
proposed as part of a coherent program primarily based elsewhere.
