Albanian killed in Mitrovice was not a sniper; he did not injure French militaries - KFOR PRISHTINE, Feb 17 (ATA) - By B.Jashari: The Albanian national Avni Hajredini, accused of being a sniper, killed by French KFOR forces in the outbreak of Mitrovice in Feb 13, is considered innocent, lieutenant colonel Chanliau, spokesman of KFOR forces, declared on Wednesday. Referring to the KFOR sources, ATA office in Prishtine announces that "Avni Hajredini is not considered innocent and there is not proof verifying that he shot against the KFOR militaries injured during the tragical unrest of February 13". "Since is not verified that Hajredini was guilty and due to the lack of facts proving that he was armed, we do not want to stain his personality", declared the KFOR spokesman in Mitrovice. He added that "is not even sure that KFOR soldiers have shot towards Hajredini, and we do not have proofs that he has been an attacker. When there are no proofs, the individual is considered innocent in democratic countries", declared Chanliau. /led/A.A/
