HIS GRACE BISHOP NIKON TO OPEN CHURCH YEAR AT CATHEDRAL

PRESIDENT ALFRED MOISIU OF THE REPUBLIC OF ALBANIA TO ATTEND

Boston - His Grace, Bishop Nikon will inaugurate the ecclesiastical year
in the Albanian Orthodox Archdiocese with a Hierarchal Liturgy on Sunday,
September 15, 2002.   Divine Services begin at 10 am at Saint George
Cathedral, 523 East Broadway in South Boston. 

His Excellency, President Alfred Moisiu of Albania is expected to attend.
He is on an official visit to the United States to attend the Remembrance
of 9/11 in New York and the Opening of the 52nd Session of the nited
Nations.  He shall be acompanied by Mr. Fatos Tarifa, Albania's
Ambassador to Washington, D.C. and by Mr. Agim Nesho, Albanian
Plenipotetiary to the United Nations.
 
The traditional blessing and distribution of Sweet Basil (Bozilok) on the
Sunday After the Elevation of the Holy Cross shall take place.  Church
School Registration will also be held in the Chapel.

Following liturgy a Festive Luncheon will be served at Anthony's Pier 4
on Boston Harbor. Reservations are required. Please call Diana Marie
