Kosovo Serb leader meets Yugoslav president

The leader of the northern Kosovo Serbs, Oliver Ivanovic, has gone to
Belgrade for talks with the new Yugoslav president, Vojislav Kostunica. 
     The two men are said to have discussed the result of last weekend's
local elections in Kosovo and the possible composition of a future
council in the northern town of Mitrovica. 
     Kosovo Serbs boycotted the elections, prompting the United Nations
administrator for Kosovo, Bernard Kouchner, to say he would nominate
Serbs to sit on the council as a temporary measure before holding fresh
elections in Serb areas of the province.
