Certainly, people have the right to belong to any nationality they feel like 
belonging.  Problems arise when they are pressured into claiming a certain 
nationality.  If it wasn't for the intensive and centuries-long 
anti-Albanian propaganda of these "Helenes", the Arvanites today would 
probably recognize that they were partially Albanians (or maybe just 
Albanians).  Your friend :), Giakoumis seems to forget that anyone in Greece 
claiming to be Albanian, has to go through insults and discrimination by 
almost every single Greek he encounters.
