The MJAFT! Campaign is a nation-wide citizen initiative campaign to raise
public awareness of Albania's many dire social problems.

Time has come for all Albanians who care to see this society develop, to
claim that 'I have had ENOUGH and will not take this state of affairs any
longer'. Time has come for the citizens of our country to say 'ENOUGH to
corruption, to poverty and ignorance'. 'ENOUGH to violence, trafficking,
pollution, unethical and unresponsive politics'. 'ENOUGH to lack of water
and obnoxious power outages'. 'ENOUGH to blood feuds'. 'ENOUGH to
deteriorating health and educations systems'. 'ENOUGH to bureaucracy, pot
holes and mud'. 'And ENOUGH of inadequate EU integration'.

2) Kosova Action Network - KAN
------------------------------
Since 1997, the Kosova Action Network (KAN) has been active in promoting
human rights efforts initiated by the people of Kosova themselves. It
operates as a loosely organized association, which allows us to respond to
issues within Kosova quickly. We seek to directly empower the citizens of
Kosova, regardless of gender, political affiliation, or ethnic origin. KAN
emphasizes the word ACTIVISTS, believing that an active citizenry is the
solution to creating an open, civil society, an effective democratic
system and country, and individual freedom and dignity. We are independent
of any political affiliations.

Now, in July, 2003 KAN turns its focus to promoting a vibrant civil
society in Kosova. We are witnesses that between improving the past and
success in creating the future, Kosova, in every aspect of its meaning,
lacks progress. Therefore we will recreate an advocacy group of interested
citizens both in and outside Kosova. Since citizens. indifference and
passivity is the main cause of this degradation, empowering citizens is
our test for truth.

3) Alb-Shkenca Discussion List

Alb-Shkenca is a discussion list about science in Albania language,
primarily as a communication tool among Albanian scientists and those
interested in science.

Lista Alb-Shkenca eshte nje liste e moderuar qe bashkon ne internet
shqiptaret qe kane interes per shkencen. Jane te shumte ata shqiptare qe
merren aktualisht me kerkim shkencor ne fusha te ndryshme e qe zoterojne
nje potencial shkencor te padiskutueshem.
Do te ishte shume mire sikur ky potencial te vihej edhe ne sherbim te
bashkepunimit ndermjet punonjesve kerkimore shqiptare. Grupimi i ketij
potenciali shqiptar ne internet do te ndihmoje ne arritjen e suksesit te
shqiptareve qe merren me shkence kudo qe jane ne bote.
Ky eshte fillimisht qellimi kryesor i listes shqiptare per shkencen.

4) American University in Kosovo (AUK)

The American University in Kosovo (AUK) is a newly established private
institution of higher education in Kosovo. It is one of only a few
universities in South Eastern Europe offering degrees recognized in both
the United States and Europe/Kosovo. The University has been established
through a partnership between the American University in Kosova Foundation
(AUKF) and Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), a leading American
university based in upstate New York.

AUK is a multi-ethnic institution striving to provide high quality
educational opportunities to students from Kosovo and other countries in
the region. The program of study, at least initially, will focus on
entrepreneurial leadership and small and medium enterprise (SME)
management. AUK's internationally recognized faculty comes from throughout
the United States, Europe, and Canada to deliver courses in Kosovo.

5) Kosovo Trust Agency (KTA)

The KTA has been established to preserve or enhance the value, viability,
and corporate governance of socially owned and public enterprises in
Kosovo. For Socially Owned Enterprises the KTA is able to initiate:
'Spin-offs' and Liquidation, its preferred procedures for privatisation.
The Regulations establishing the KTA were promulgated on 13th June 2002
and are linked to this website.

The powers of the KTA are vested with the Board of Directors, comprised of
four international Directors and four residents of Kosovo. The day to day
operations of the KTA are managed by a team of professional local and
international staff.

6) The Kosovar Institute for Policy Research and Development (KIPRED)

The Kosovar Institute for Policy Research and Development is a program of
the Kosovar Civil Society Foundation that aims the strengthening of
democracy and democratic values in Kosovo. The Kosovar Institute for
Policy Research and Development was developed out of a long cooperation
between the Kosovar Civil Society Foundation and the Olof Palme
International Center. KCSF and OPIC started the development of the
Internet Academy for Democracy in 2001 and by late 2002, this constituted
the main pillar of KIPRED.s activities. A number of western educated
academics who had been contemplating and having long talks to constitute
such an institute have found space for their values and intellectual
capacity here today. A year from the outset, the activities and findings
of KIPRED to date have reaffirmed and amplified the initial hypotheses o­n
the necessity to conduct intensive work in this field.

7) Kosovar Civil Society Foundation (KCSF)
------------------------------------------
KCSF supported by European Agency for Reconstruction (EAR) for development
of Civil Society in Kosovo. KCSF is giving grants to the local NGOs in
following sectors: Capacity Building, Gender, Culture, Youth, Minority and
RAE Education Programme.
