As we in the safety of England see the horrors of what is going on in Kosova, it is easy to feel speechless with rage and helplessness. I have written to MPs and the Prime Minister, reassuring them that, despite the well-orchestrated voices raised against the NATO action, there is in reality here a mass of well meaning people who are appalled at the savagery of the Serb aggressors and who would wish NATO, if necessary, to engage ground troops. Of course we all hate war, but we MUST carry on supporting the defenceless people of Kosova and they must know that they are not standing alone in this tragic moment in their history. Keep up the fight. You are not alone. Please let me know - what more can I/we do?

Most Brits feel devasted watching the the TV pictures of Kosovo's ethnic Albanians as they flee death squads, artillery and tank shelling. Ordinary Brits are angry that the growing humanitarian crisis has only just prompted reconnaissance teams to fly to the areas where refugees have slept in freezing conditions without shelter - why have UN aid workers watched helplessly while Macedonian police and troops corralled exhausted refugees to a windswept river bank while local volunteers have only a dozen or so sacks of bread to feed desperate refugees unable to shelter in the driving rain? While ordinary people help each other as best they can officials everywhere - priest and politician alike - dither while weighing up the propects of financial loss or gain - against the lives of the now dispossed.

inevitable, and long overdue. I think it should have happened years ago.

I am against the bombing, because it's destroys also Kosovo. But I think NATO should have stopped Milosevic already in 1991-92 when Serbia attacked Slovenia and Croatia and later on Bosnia. Maybe then this Kosovo-tragedy had not happened. would need at Kosova. The Turkish government is sending some aid to the
region and the Turkish army has prepared many ground troops to be sent
to Kosova, waiting Nato to let us send them...However we citizens of

refugees,and even if the Nato decides to delay the Ground Strike, we

Who ever may read this message, I'm dutch and live in the USA. Everyone is shocked about the terrible things that are going on in your country, especially me. This war is not about politics and land anymore but about human rights, the right to live, to speak, things that are so normal for us. Yes history repeats itself, and once more the world MUST show this dictator that we will NOT tolerate that people are being treated this way!! And if it costs the lives of many brave soldiers, it's worth it, not only for us but mostly for our children. They have to understand that people are people, no matter where they are from, what kind of religion they have, or what color of skin they have. In the 1940's many brave allied soldiers fought for our freedom, many of them died and will NEVER be forgotten. Without these allied soldiers I never would have been born. Dear Friends, In the last days we in the UK have seen pictures taken by an ethnic Albanian who lives in Kosovo. The people of his home village were evicted at gun point by masked men who ordered them to march towards Albania. Some of the men tried to escape and were recaptured - one man escaped and returned to his village some time later with a video camera and found his friends shot (murdered) through the head. This is not fantasy it is recorded. Why, oh why is this happening. The Serbs will not admit that this happens, what hope have the ethnic Albanians in Kosovo. I am afraid NATO is the only help that seems to be available. The Serbs fought against the Nazis in the last war and now is there any difference? With the millennium not far away should we not be more tolerant and enlightened in our attitudes to our neighbours. My wife and I spent many happy holidays in Yugoslavia - that I fear will not happen again.

I have been trying to generate some interest in the San Francisco Bay Area and
the Silicon Valley to help the Kosovar refugees with certain technology. I
want to identify several 100s or 1000s of computers to donate to the refugee
camps, or certain relief agencies or to government agencies handling
registration. I want to identify local computer professionals who can setup
these computers appropriately. I think we can help alieviate the bureaucratic
nightmare created by the Kosovar exodus from Kosova. Among other things, these
computers and volunteers trained to use them might be very useful to (1)
identify, register, and track Kosovar refugees and (2) later help them
reestablish their "civic identities" which the Serbs have systematically
destroyed in recent days.

I have found your web pages with a list of relief organizations. I understand
relief organizations' first priority is providing food, shelter and emergency
health care to refugees. Nevertheless, Albanian and Macedonian government
officials are clearly overwhelmed with the flood of refugees they must register
and need some help. They very likely are registering people by hand using
paper forms many of which will get damaged or lost. They likely are using
registration processes that are archaic, although I am not sure. I suspect
they could use substantial outside help -- if they are willing to accept such
help.

I hope you will add to your web pages, or send me e-mail with, references to
Albanian or Macedonian government agencies which might be able to use such
computer equipment and perhaps volunteer field agents as well. I also need
contact information inside these governments who can tell me (a) if they want
or need the help and/or equipment, (b) what computer equipment they have now,
(c) help me and others determine what computer systems need to be developed and
(d) help me determine what shipping channels might get the technology supplies
to them most swiftly such that noone steals or destroys these supplies.

I hope very soon you can acknowledge receipt of this request and let me know
how soon you might send me a list or update your web pages with the new
information.

My wife and I have been following the news on Kosovo for 4 days, 12 hours a
day. I've seen all websites that are bringing news on Kosovo, including the
Serbian ones, and there's one thing I can say: no matter what may have
happened in the past, there is NO WAY you Kosovars deserve to be treated
like this. Milosevic will be brought to justice in The Hague, and if not,
it's probably because the coward committed suicide seeing that he will loose
the battle with NAVO. Most people here in Holland strongly support the
NATO - we are outraged by what's happening in Kosovo. Yesterday I sent money
to the Red Cross, hoping that it might some refugees' lives - if there's
anything else we can do, please let us know. It's incredible that this
Milosevic succeeded in making an entire nation go crazy: it seems like 99%
of the Serbs are supporting this Demon. It clearly shows that mass hysteria
still exists. Serbia is acting like Nazi-Deutschland in WW2. Is Kosovo worth
risking a 3rd world war? Yes, it is. The Russian and Chinese governments
should back off and have a look at their own human rights first (ever seen
Russian or Chinese prisons?).

Kosovo, hang on, go for it and survive!!! We are with you in our thoughts 24
hours a day. May justice prevail!

I praise your stamina and hunger for independence. I truly pray that you will be successful. I have, as an Executive Director of a Child Alert Network in California, contacted the appropriate agencies on the subject of relief aid for the refugees/victims. I await, some what impatiently, for programs to be established here. I assure you and your people, that this American Citizen WILL participate in the up and coming relief programs. I encourage others internationally, to do the same.

However, I have many here in the United States, who would be interested in corresponding via e-mail or otherwise, with the victims in and around Kosova. I am particularly interested in sharing correspondence myself, with as many there as needed, to assure them, we care about them.

Finally, my research over the last week. Which include internet information and books. I must state my support of the KLA, even in light of the allegations, and for the displaced victims of the ethnic cleansing atrocities. For those of you who have not done extensive research, I would encourage you to do so. You will also find, on the web sites for the Yugoslavia government, the FRY. They outline many items of the Humanitarian Laws of the FRY. You'll quickly find that they are in clear violation of their Laws.

If you can establish with me, a pen pal program for those victims. I will work with you to protect their identity, and bring them together with American citizens. Additionally, I am willing to help the your people, by getting information to the local media where I am at, and pass along your correspondents submissions to them. We do not see much coming out of Kosova itself. Understandably, this is extremely dangerous. What ever they would like to have placed in the hands of our local media and journalists, I will do it for you.

tomorrow - our local paper had pictures of two local airbases loading goods
and soldiers on huge planes bound for Balkans - hope they are not too late.

First of all, I wish to express my outrage at the ethnic cleansing being
brought about by Slobodan Milosevic and his loyals. They continue to
deny that they are doing this, and blame NATO for the exodus of the
Kosovars. But how can we believe him when we see that mainly women,
children, and the elderly are the only ones coming out of Kosavo. And
do we believe what a ruthless dictator tells us, when we know that he
has done this before, or do we believe the thousands of people coming
out of Kosavo, who all say the same thing? That they are being
slaughtered, raped, and driven from their homes like vermin. Are we to
believe that 2 million people all got together one night and made up a
story to tell the world? These people are scattered all over Europe,
yet they all have the same story to tell. That story is one of
GENOCIDE, and ETHNIC CLEANSING! Yet, we are to be made to believe by
Milosavic, that he is not doing this. A blind man can see that he is
lying, just as he has lied countless times in the past, only to be
exposed in the long run. Well, he is exposed, and yet there are those
that say do nothing. How can you do nothing if you are a witness to
murder? And yes, that is what it is. A mass murder orchestrated by
Slobodan Milosavic, the likes that no-one has seen since Rwanda, or the
Nazi Holocaust of the Jews. If you watched someone line up your
children and blow their brains all over your living room carpet, would
you just do nothing about it? Well, that is what is happening, and if
you say that NATO is wrong about what they are doing, then you are
saying that it is ok to murder the innocent. The entire world is
witness to thousands of murders. Should we just turn our backs to it?
The United States made a commitment to the world after realizing the
horrors of the Jewish holocaust. The United States pledged that we
would never stand by and allow a peoples to be systematically
slaughtered. And that is why NATO is doing what it is doing. So, before
you go down to the local anti US, or anti NATO rally, stop for a
moment. Ask yourself something. What if it was you? What if Milosavic,
or someone else, decided that your people should all die? What if a

only get them food, but clothes as well? How are Kosovar refugees being relocated during this troubling time? What about the orphans? Who is taking care of them? I am
looking for information how we can help these people and how aid can be organized in my community. I hope that we can find a way to help these people.

I have my personal feelings and moral reasons for sending this letter. To try to stop these crimes against humanity. Some of the points that I wish to raise are to Educate the Serbian citizens, to make them realize among other things....that The whole world is watching the genocide, and the Serbian citizen's actions and inaction on the atrocities being committed in their behalf. This will affect their lives and financial situation in world affairs for years to come. They will be isolated and cutoff from the rest of the free world if they associate themselves with these atrocities. We need, Their help... to standup. Their help... to show resistance their governments actions. We need, Their help... to help stop these atrocities from within Serbia or their inaction will look as though they condoned these atrocities in the world's eyes. If you feel that the publishing of my letter to you will help in any way to the plight and most human tragedy of the people involved and victimized by this nightmare please then, publish it. My thoughts are with you, and your people as you struggle with the responsibilities of bringing the focus of your people into the 21st Century and into a world where borders are not important.

"GENOCIDE" is the only reason that "NATO"....{ who is representing the will of the United Nations & of the free world } is in Serbia at all. "GENOCIDE" again is the only reason why MILOSEVIC and his "Genocide Machine" are being bombed. During the time when we took Vietnames some 600+ people were housed at Sopley Camp (now known as Merryfield Park). This facility is still there would you be interested in using it again.

i remember when i was a small boy and my grandfather told me about the
horrors of the german concentration camps which he was one of the first
british troops to liberate in 1945.
i know that some of your people may think that n.a.t.o may have
contributed to the fact that the serbs have stepped up their horror
campain against you because of the bombing of yugoslavia but i believe
that this was nessasary to destroy there armed forces and hopefully the
country.
my family and myself deeply hope that this situation can be resolved
without many more of your population being ethnically cleansed.
