THANKS TO ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE SENT THE ALBANIAN PEOPLE MESSAGES OF SUPPORT. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

--

Dear Kosovar Albanians, These horrendous acts of barbarity carried out by Milosevic's war machine must be stopped. Your people must be allowed to return to their land.unfortunately Jugoslavia will have to pay an awful price for its sins because of Milosevic's policies of Ethnic cleansing.  You remain in my thoughts and prayers,

G.Macari.
Dublin , Ireland.

Hi my name is Annie and I am a 16 year old female from Temecula, CA. While
researching news articles on the crisis in Kosovo, I stumbled upon ways to
show support for the Albanians, but then I couldn't find any addresses or any
way to send an email to someone. So I was wondering if you could send me ways
to contact anyone over there to send them something to show them my support?
Thank you!
Annie

Hi - my name is ___________. I am on the editorial board of the National
Post, a large Canadian newspaper with a circulation of about 300,000.
I was interested in a document I found on your site entitled "The Serb
Blueprint for Clensing Kosovo." We are thinking of printing extracts from
it.
But I have a question - how authentic is that translation? I am worried that
the translation takes liberties from the original text for the sake of
dramatizing the political content. Could you provide me with some authority
on the translation? Thanks.

Dear Everyone, I would like to send a letter(s) as I feel very deeply
about human suffering. Are these letters to indiviuals? Let me know
what I can do. Nikki Scofield

Dear sirs,

I have been receiving your e-mails for quite a while. They really helped me
feel I am in a way close to the situation more than if I was just following
the medias.Regardless of whom your organization is affiliated with, your
information and articles assure that you are on the side of resisting these
injustices, and not standing behind dreams and false hopes of a just
peace.Things have already gone way too far ,moreover it is well known that
the terms and conditions of peace are dictated by those who fought and won,
in order to deserve a durable peace for their people.
The least of morals a man have would not let him remain impassive towards
the unbelievable events currently taking place.A majority of the one billion
Muslims around the globe are deeply indignated, yet infirm and weakened by
the general atmosphere our people have unfortunately adopted during the last
decades.Living in Egypt,I can perceive a general sympathy towards their
Kosovan brothers, and revolt towards the terrible acts inflicted on them by
the Serbs.
Feelings and words by themselves are an insignificant and waste if not
backed by actions.
Ever since I started to receive your mails ,I have touched the following:

1-Many of the anti-Serb activity that you cite is taking place in the United
States and directed towards Muslims and protagonists living inside the U.S.

2-Demands made to contribute to war efforts are mostly directed towards the
U.S. cabinet and European governments.

I therefore concluded that coordination is needed through more intensive
communication between yourself and those of our countries willing to reach
the extent of giving their lives for their brothers in Kosova.I have
explained my point of view in three or more e-mails I have sent to you in
the form of reply to your newsgroups's messages, suggesting uniting the
efforts and spreading awareness starting from Egypt and reaching neighboring
countries, yet I have not received replies.I am certain that Muslims ;if
united ,would contribute more efficiently than the NATO which is still
rejecting ground troops deployment.Wealthy Arab countries could
significantly increase donations to help in defending the people and the
land.I have asked you throughout my e-mails,the ways you suggest to create
serious activists in the Arab world responsible of coordinating their
efforts with your efforts.Starting with fund raising campaigns ,to
volunteering in the main action.
Based on discussions I had with people from different backgrounds,I came
with the one conclusion, that everyone is eager to contribute, but not aware
of the means to do so.I suggest starting an immediate common campaign, and
intensive coordination. This shall be done the soonest, before it is too late.
This said ,I wish you the best of luck in your courageous endeavors.Let us
all pray Almighty God to support our brothers in Kosova, and prevent any more
sufferings inflicted on them.

Sincerly,

Yehia M.el Gammal

To whom it may concern,

My name is Judy Weathery and I'm currently attending Linfield
College in the United States. I am taking a course called People and
Culture in Eastern Europe. As one of our projects we're required to talk
with a person from Eastern Europe via e-mail. I was assigned
Albania as the country for my project. I don't know if you can help me but
I would be greatful if you could put in touch with an Albanian so I
can talk to them about their culture. Thanks for your time.

Hi,

i am a twenty-year old man from germany. I want to help but i dont mean
help like paying money or helping with clothes or food. I want to fight.
You will think, this is a crazy, kiddie boy who think that the war in
kosova is like a funny trip or a joke. I am not.
In germany i'm fighting in a group called "antifaschistische aktion"
(antifascism action) against Nazis (neo-nazis) and people like this.
Well, this is not real fighting with guns and killing people but if you
know the problem in germany you know that is a war...a little -but a
war. But this war never ends and i thought i can really help when i'm
fighting against the serbs. Not only helping the albanian population,
also help for me and my life!
I'm skilled with handguns and hunting rifles also the man-to-man combat.
I think have to repeat that is not a joke.
I want to help -i hope you can help me and give me information where i
can go -and also how?
I'm looking forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writng with inquiry of how to send support to our troops. I am
a third grade teacher and my students and I are very eager to become active
with our world. We feel that becoming pen pals will be a real life way to
keep in touch with the current situation.

crisis I would greatly appreciate any guidance.
                May God Bless You all,
                            Fondly, Patricia.

Any information on how U.S. citizens can volunteer for the KLA?

--

I watch with abject horror at events infolding in Kosovo. From all reports
this 'ethnic cleansing' is worse than WWII. I feel useless in what I can
contribute. I ask the question, Why is NATO targeting military sites and
not the leadership of this regime.

I though they would have learnt a lesson from Iraq. Saddam survived that
onslaught and now riles in the face of the US. I must confess that of the
billions of US$'s being spent on this campaign, that someone is profiting.

By striking at the Serb leadership you would be saving lives, 10's of
thousands of lives. There must be some un-written law that leaders will not
attack each other, only the sheep that follow.

And I though the world was becoming more civilised. God Damm it, this
civilisation has learnt nothing from our barbaric history.

I am truly sorry for your suffering. Please be brave.

Dear Kosovar friends,

I am a high school teacher, and in a little over two months I will have
a summer holiday. I feel so terrible about what is going on that I
would like to do more than just send money to international relief
organizations (which I have done). Are there refugee camps in Albania
or Italy where a teacher might do something for Kosovar people there,
like teach some English? I am 54, and am so angry that even at my age I
would like to go help fight, but know that both my age and my ignorance
of any language spoken in that area would not make me of any use.

I am scheduled to fly to Europe this summer, and could adjust my plans
to do something if it seems like it would be a real contribution. Any
ideas?

I am writing to you for the lack of anyone else to contact concerning a question I have. I am an American citizen of Polish decent who understands this meaning of loss for the Kosova Albanians. I am an ex U.S. Marine force recon Vietnam veteran. I would like to find out if the KLA would be interested in my services in anyway. I do not know who to contact directly in this matter. I saw on television of the people joining in New York, but I did not see who was in charge of the recruitment and I am also in South Carolina. If you could pass this along to whom it should be directed to, or tell me how to contact whomever to find out if they would have an interest in me, I would greatly appreciate this. My e-mail address is attached herein.

I am a mom of three children myself here in South Africa. With absolute
horror we have watched what has been happening in Kosovo, and I have shed
many a tear over the plight of those people, especially the children. The
same tears were shed over the massacres in Rwanda, always the innocent
caught in the conflicts.
What can I do to help. We are not exactly rich, my husband has not been in
business that long, but if there is anything I can send, such as books and
crayons to help aleviate the frustration of young children, anything, I
will do my utmost.
Possibly there is a UNICEF office here in South Africa I can contact.
To the people of Kosovo who have lost so much in so little a time, my heart
is with you, I have shed many many tears

Greetings from the United States:

This is author and syndicated columnist, David Lawrence Dewey. My
latest column, Milosevic - Another Hitler? The Massacre At Kosovo
Continues. I include photos, which are graphic of the killing of
children, women and men, and the destruction of homes. This is not an
"ethnic cleansing", it is a genocide of a race of people because of
their religion. This is the same thing of what Hitler did to the Jews.
My column is read by readers in over 50 countries and I have over
125,000 visitors a month to my website.

In my column, I challenge world governments to stop this in-humanity to
mankind.

I don't know where to go to ask these questions. I'm hoping you can help me,
either by answering them or referring me to another site.

1. What language is most widely spoken in Albania? in Kosova?

2. Approximately how much do you think it would cost to build (rebuild) a
family house in a Kosovar village or in a city like Pristina (in terms of
American dollars or Albanian Lek or Yugoslavian Dinar)?

Thank you

Alb-Net Response: The language spoken in Albania and Kosova is Albanian, an Indo-European language unrelated to any other European languages.  For more information please visit http://www.albanian.com
As for the price of houses in Prishtina, before the NATO air strikes begun the houses would be sold for $200,000-$300,000.

Maybe you can answer this for me
Do you have to be Albanian-American to volunteer for the KLA?
Would they take an American that wants to help?

Thank You

RECENT SPEECH

Can you help?

I'm trying to trace the text of a recent (in the last few days) interview on the BBC World Service given by an Albanian govt official - not sure if it was the Prime Minister or the Foreign Minister - about NATO. In it he says something to the effect that by assisting NATO Albanians are "fighting for the Future, that victory is the future". I'd very much like to get the exact quote for an article I'm writing. Any ideas? I've tried contacting the BBC without success so far & have looked on various news sites for reports of the speech, but find none.

Greetings, I just wanted to say I support all of the efforts of NATO, KLA, Albanian People, and most of all, the refugees (or should I say deportees). Your spirit is an inspiration to the entire free world. The current regime in the FRY has proven itself as nothing but a band of thugs. Their activities in Slovenia, Croatia, and Bosnia-Herzegovina are contant reminder to the rest of the world that this "band of thugs" cannot be trusted to honor international agreements, such as, cease fire agreements, laws of human rights, and laws of armed conflict. They need to be supervised by outside forces (Bosnia proved that). NATO needs to stick to their guns and ensure that all of their objectives are complied with. And to the refugees still hiding in Kosovo; You all stay alive, you are, as well as the rest of the Kosovar Albanians who made it out, constantly in our prayers. God speed, and may you find your freedom. Regards,

Scott
Montana, USA

P.S. To Slobodan Milosevic: The sky is falling and time is running out, BETTER NOT GO OUTSIDE! If you do, NATO will be waiting for you!

Hi, I'm sure you've heard by now that NATO did bomb a refugee truck by mistake. Please tell your people to stay away from the serb army. They are trying to use you as human shields. They wanted this to happen. Do something to let NATO know who you are and where you are so you will not be targeted again. What a terrible tradegy, I'm so sorry this happened along with a million other people. You have to help yourselves to stay safe. NATO is trying to help you, but sometimes things happen. Let me hear from someone. Stay safe,

To: Kosovo Crisis Center

Can you link to our Kosovo Info site?

"The Democracy Experience" the non-partisan Brussels-based NGO, is
attempting to
mobilise people into taking action in the Kosovo crisis
through its current Urgent Action Appeal.
http://www.democracy-experience.org

We have made a link to your site, and would appreciate it if you could
make a similar one to our site, so that your site visitors can see how
organisations in the rest of Europe are trying to help.

The Democracy Experience is giving people an opportunity
to tell key decision makers their thought on the
current Kosovo crisis. The team have committed themselves to
personally lobbying those involved in the current action on behalf of internet
users.

On the site people can begin to make a difference in Kosovo with this simple
three step plan:

* Save Kosovo - A quick and easy way for people to register their
opinion which will be sent directly to the politicians and decision
makers concerned

*Save the Refugees - Links to secure ways to make donations via relief agencies

* Save Serbia - Opportunities to send messages of support to Serb people
giving them the strength and encouragement to question their
government's actions

As a back up to the campaign, the Democracy Experience has the most
complete list of links to information on the Kosovo/Serbia situation on
the internet. All major news sources are represented, as well as NGO's,
institutions, and political parties involved.

The internet has a real online community of people who care about the
crisis in Kosovo, but might not know what they can do. This site gives
people a simple and easy way to make a difference. We're keen to see if
people can really be mobilised into action through the
internet, and thats why we're prepared to lobby the key decision makers
we have established contact with here in Brussels.

We want to get as many
people as we can to support our campaign, so it'd be great if you could
help us out by linking to our site, or featuring us in some way.

Thanks for your time,

Best regards
Rachel Chitty

Dear sirs/ Madam, It was with great horror that I opened todays newspapers to see yet another 75 civilians had been killed by NATO. I am English and find it difficult to understand how these 'mistakes' can happen. Back in this country many of us find this to be unacceptable, but alas there is little or nothing that we can do. We want this to end. It is unacceptable that innocent civilians are being murdered at the hands of NATO forces. Aren't our troops in Kosova to try to help the refugees rather than making the situation worse.? God bless those unfortunate to be living in Kosova right now. I only wish that I could do more to help. Yours Sincerely N.G, England

Hello

My name is Esperanza Newton-Blair. I read in the paper every day about
the pain that the Albanians suffer, because of the evil serbian
government.. I hope that soon my country will send in ground troops.
Milosevic is pure evil. Anybody that would allow young girls to be
raped, young teen aged boys to be shot down , little children to be
separated from their parents and sometimes have to watch has they are
killed, should be hunted down and and made to live the rest of his life
in prison. May God bless all of you.

I would like to offer my support in any way I can. I am especially interested
in participating in fund raisers in the New York-New Jersey (USA) area.
Although I am not Albanian, I have a very dear friend who is and I can see the

about the organization Albanians for the Democratic Way (not sure if that is
the correct title)? If so, please tell me how I can reach them.
To everyone who is suffering: please know the world is behind you and we will
help you get through this.

I am writing from Rochester, NY USA:
I represent the melting pot of America: Black, White Native, a grandfather
who was a jew, another who was a Baptist. 50 some odd years ago, we said
never again! We in America are putting our hearts, money, emotional, and
PHYSICAL support behind you. Please know that we see pictures of your
children, and see our own. We hears stories of women being systematically
raped and we bleed for them. Young men are being cut down in their prime
and we know that sending our own over there may be the only way to help
yours. Please know that Muslims in this country our protected by the
government as we are all. They are my fellow countrymen, and the pain that
they are experience is felt by us all. Please know that you are in our
prayers. That our churches, temples, mosques, convenience stores, schools,
libraries . . . . are supporting fund raising campaigns to help you. We are
wrting, e-mailing calling our Representatives to let them know that they
have the peoples support. This ios a "Just War"! Wade in de water, Wade in

To Whom it May Concern,

Hi, my name is _______ and I am a television news producer for
the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, CBC in Toronto. I am trying to
get some information on Canadian/US Albanians who are signing up to go
to Kosova to assist the KLA.

We would like to meet some of these people and talk to them before they
go. Would that be possible to arrange if we came to New York or New
Jersey? When will the next group be leaving and how many will be going?

Please contact me at your earliest convenience.

DEAR KOSOVAR REFUGEES:

Here in America our hearts are heavy, our eyes flooded with tears as we
watch in anguish the horrors you all are having to endure. You are in
our prayers and thoughts constantly. Your courage and stamina is a
lesson to us all. I am so very, very impressed by your calm stoicism.
I remember World War II; this is September 1939 all over again. If
Milosevic and his forces are not stopped now I fear for the future not
only of the Balkan countries but also Europe as a whole. This is how
Hitler started, but he was not stopped. This time the tyrant must be
stopped at all costs. I hope the NATO forces there have been good and
kind to you. You are suffering terribly, but you are not forgotten and
never will be. We are beside you--always. God bless, keep and protect
you one an all. The American people are with you in spirit.

As an American, I am so horrified at the stories and picutures I have been

seen. I was hurt to learn of the NATO aircraft that bombed a group of
refugees. I don't know much I can do here in North Carolina, USA but I can
assure you I will be praying for you as will my church. We have been praying
since this conflict began for all involved! I would be interested in hearing
anything you have to say about things NOT being reported! I look forward to
hearing from you.

It is a crime what the Serbs are doing in Kosovo and those that
volunteer for the fight against them are nothing more then heroes that
should never be forgotten. I have not known such dedication then those
that volunteered for the Spanish Civil War.

Bless you all and know that while you carry the burden of a war you
should have never had to fight the hearts and minds of millions more are
with you.
