| THANKS TO ALL OF YOU
WHO HAVE SENT THE ALBANIAN PEOPLE MESSAGES OF SUPPORT. GOD BLESS YOU ALL! --
I am a retired police officer and
live in Tasmania, a small State of Australia. Our Government has just informed us that we
are to give humanitarian aid in the form of housing for up to 500 displaced persons. This
is only a small percentage overall also just a small percentage of the total coming to
Australia. The area they are to be housed in is a modern but now disused army camp only
ten minutes from where I live. I would like any information you could supply to enable
myself and my family to befriend and help as many of these unfortunate people as we can. I
have no idea of their culture in general except for the fact they are Islamic. I realise
you must be very busy but the Albanian community is virtually non existent where we live
so there is nobody to ask locally to help me understand their needs.
Yours faithfully

I just saw the 20/20 report last night and was astounded by the amount of
suffering that the ethnic Albanians are going through. I was struck by the
vast numbers of children who are seperated from their families. Also, it's
terrible to think what happened to the Albanians which were turned back at
the border and forced back into Kosova. Even the media have become a tool
of the Serb government. If I could tell everyone over there one thing it
would be this: You are not alone. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and
we hope that you can go home soon, to a safer and more peaceful Kosova.

I just
wanted to send my prayers and love for the thousands of refugees from Kosovo. As I sit in
my nice, warm, comfortable home, knowing that my children are safe and warm in their beds,
while across the country there are so many little children suffering (through no fault of
their own), I cannot express my sadness deep enough. Those poor families have done nothing
wrong! Why must the children suffer at the hands of this leader? How can he possibly live
with himself?????? I can only ask over and over again: WHY????? Why must there be
hatred??? There is enough land for everyone to live peacefully. I thank God every day that
I live in a country where we can all live together peacefully. Millions of Americans are
praying for God's help in this crisis. War will NEVER be the answer to our
problems. I hope the people that are doing this destruction and murder know that that
their eternal reward will be the way of Hitler's: eternal damnation in Hell.

I am a 20
year old university student in Canada. I watch and hear of the horrors in Kosovo, unable
to contribute anything but my prayers that one day peace will come for both Serb and
Albanian people. While NATO fights the unacceptable act of ethnic cleansing, my heart goes
out to all the innocents caught in the middle of a brutal political power struggle...may
justice prevail and the guilty pay for the bloodshed and grief. God will be with you, as
will my heart. Susy Kilby Ont. Canada

After watching the kicking in of doors and the herding of the people of
Kosovo I wonder why the KLA does not booby trap some of the homes when they
know that Serb forces are on the way. It seems to me that they would be a
little more reluctant to kicking down doors if they had a little something
to worry about.

The atrocities committed by Serbian officials and troops cannot go on.
Please know that there is undying support for the refugees of Kosovo by
Canadians like myself. I am but one person, and I wish there was more
that I could do to help. My parents, Danish immigrants, watched as
Hitler's troops marched into their country and committed horrible crimes
against their countrymen. I would like to have thought that this would
never be allowed to happen again. The violence and the hatred must
stop. Please tell me how to help...

Many Americans ,like myself, find themselves in tears with the graphic photos
of your people suffering!
Many a mother, may have seen a child's face that resembles one of her own,and
this may outrage American,or mothers from all over the world!
Have faith in God,or Allah,as your people call him.He sees your pain, and
tears and will bring justice and hear your prayers!
One sad thought occured to me and my 11 year old son.How many families,or
children had to leave behind a beloved cat or a dog?I and my son are animal
lovers so that is why this specific thought occured to us.
Dear people, you are in our prayers and hearts!I feel it won't be long when

It is with great shame that I write this, heartbroken
that my government atleast to our current knowledge has yet to aid the KLA forces with
supplies. Hopefully with Public support growing for the sending in of ground forces and
increased attacks on Serbian groundforces this will be corrected if not being silently
done already. I want all the Albanian peoples of the Balkens and the world the great admiration
I have for them at the accounts of there aid to the Kosovar. Hopefully soon something will
be done to aid the plight of the remaining Kosovar in Kosova. The attitude and
actions of the Serbs has shown them to be perhaps the most barbaric and subhuman peoples
on the earth --- If anyone should be cleansed it should be the souls of the Sebs. I will
try to influence my government to aid the KLA NOW and seek the creation of a Kosovar
Republic free from the tyranny of the Serbs Forever.

In Malta we
are doing the very best we can. Total population of Malta is less than the total number of
your Refugees, so that aid must, of necessity, be in proportion to our possibilities.
Substantial supplies left for Albanian refugee camp this week, arriving yesterday. Am
troubled by reports of theft of supplies, & selling international supplies on black
market, including medicines. Maltese team will distribute supplies directly to avoid this
problem. We are helping a camp of around 6,000 refugees plus medical doctor, and two
nurses. Sent, among other things seven tons of drinking water. Limited influx of refugees,
into our Country, approved by our Government.

I have sent the following to many United States
Senators in support of your cause and pray to God it will help to get greater assistance
to you soon. Honorable Sir, I am a
life long Democrat, what we call in Texas a "Yellow Dog Democrat" because we
would vote for a Yellow Dog rather than a Republican. Please show this to your Democratic
collegues so that they will Know that unless they support you in your call for greater
support of The Kosovar cause they will lose a supporter for life --- While I always
thought I would vote for a Yellow Dog rather than a Republican due to political
differences ranging from philosophy to economics -- I CAN NOT SUPPORT THE CURRENT YELLOW
DOG IN THE WHITE HOUSE if he alows the total distruction of the Albanians of Kosova. I hope the Senate will call for the immediate deployment of necessary
troops to either defeat the Brutal Serb forces In Kosova or to atleast get humanitarian
aid to the Refugees now trapped in Kosova. I hope that support extends to support of the
Albanian Kosovar forces currently under assault in Kosova. To your Republican collegues
who claim that we have no interest in this conflict please explain to them, as I hope and
believe that you understand as a former member of the military, that when I volunteered to
go aboard the USS Wisconsin knowing that it was on station in the Persian Gulf during the
war I DID NOT DO IT FOR ECONOMIC REASONS NOR TO BE AN AGENT OF EXXON BUT TO PROTECT AND
DEFEND THE LIVES OF INNOCENT AND OPPRESSED PEOPLE. As the second verse of our national
anthem states: Then conquer we must if our cause it is just
then this be our motto in God is our trust. American interest can be no greater than to
defend liberty at home and abroad and to insure that Tyranny Should Be defeated for
everyone that is endowed by their creator with inelignable rights be they powerful and
wealthy Rulers of Oil Rich Countries or poor impoverished and out manned peasents in
Kosova. God Bless You Sir for Your Defense of the
Greatest of American interest the Freedom of Mankind.

As I e-mailed to the Belgrade government: get lost in Belgrade from
sick agessors as Milosevic, and the other side must get lost from
fanatic agressors in the UCK.
Normal Servs and Albanian people, inside and outside Kosovo, want peace
with each other. UN-arms shoot on aswell Serv arms as UCK-arms. UN and
NATO must choose for peace and not for Servie or the UCK.
In the first place we belong to mankind. Being Serv or Kosovar or Dutch

important.

Hi. I'm a 24yr old Australian woman. My father is

The outpouring of emotions and solidarity with the Kosovars coming to
this site from all corners of the earth overwhelm the reader and confirm
that we are indeed living in a global village. We can all now feel (and
see all too vividly unfortunately) the "tears in things". However, in
order for history not to repeat itself ad nauseam I thought I would send
some cautionary remarks to help us in soul-searching:
1. Let's not gloat over how wonderful and sheltered from evil Western
societies are. This is not only untrue but it also invities complacency
and xenophobia.
2. Let us be wary of comments from moral majority zealots who see
NATO's action now as confirmation that "we were right all along and God
is consistently on our side". That sort of generalization is a rather
dangerous and facile mis-reading of history. Just because America hit
the mark this time doesn't mean it can be exonerated across the board.
3. Letters of support from "Muslim brothers" are certainly welcome and
sometimes give a different perspective, but should we not expect
solidarity, sympathy and downright human decency from others
irrespective of their idealogical or religious persuasion? Had this
plight been that of a non-Muslim group or nation, would those people
have not lent support? They are misrepresting themselves and their
nations when they make it appear as if their indignation is solely due
to the fact that the wronged party in question is Muslim.
4. Let us not demonize all Serbs and assume that Milosevic is Serbia
and vice versa. My faith in the human race tells me otherwise.

very much like to host a small family in my home, should they be able to come to the

accomodate a family of three to four. I am 57 and live alone in a large two bedroom

I was wondering if you have any idea about how many people could have
been killed since March 24th ?
I've heard that app. 10 000 young men would have been eliminated, and
this number does not include women, children and old men.
I appreciate so much all the information provided by your Web.
I want to thank Marko for Milosevic's E-Mail. I'll send to him a word as
I did to the Bishops of Prizren, asking them not to give Holy Communion
to the soldiers and Governement's Apparachik who spilled the blood of
innocent people in Kosova.
And this morning, we could see in Serbia soldiers kissing and venerating
Christ on the cross... where they also CRUCIFIED so many INNOCENT
Albanians. And in my heart, I could hear a voice screaming:
Away from Me, Hypocrits! Cause when I was hungry, when I was
thirsty... you did not give them water and bread...
God sees and will answer in his time!

Letter to President Milosevic:
Mister President,
I am so saddened when I see what is happening to Serbia and also to
Kosova.
Is that true that you ordered your troops in Kosova to kill young men,
women and children ?
We are both Christians, I am a Catholic, and we have to Respect this
Commandment of God: THOU SHALL NOT KILL.
I agree with you that soldiers have a RIGHT to kill the enemy, but I
don't see how soldiers can kill children and massacre innocent people,
ask them for their money and kill them if they don't have any, and
commit all those atrocities that people coming out from Kosova are
talking about.
Please, order your soldiers to respect the life of innocent people. How
can you, in this Holy week, venerate the Holy Cross, and at the same
time permit your soldiers to rape women and to kill.
Mister President, as Jesus told Pontius Pilate, God placed you where you
are, but he can also displace you, and hold you countable for your
actions.
Remember the Golden Rule: «Do unto others as you would have them do
unto you.»
A Citizen from Canada.

Do not despair. There are many of us in the United

Hello,
When the current conflict in Kosovo broke out, as far as NATO military action, I began
to try to find out more information in order to understand better what it is all about.
This site was one of the first sources of information I found online.
The photographs of apparent "Serbian massacres" leading up to the current
situation deeply affected me and greatly influenced me toward an anti-Serbian perspective
and support of the NATO actions.
My question is: Why are these
extremely potent photographs not seen in any mainstream media?
I'm sure that many people would be affected exactly as I have been if they were to see
this graphic evidence...
Sincerely,
Nicholas Moses

Serbians say "why has Britain betrayed its old WWII friend?".
Well in the Second World War, it was the Nazi's committing the genocide
and we stood side-by-side to fight them. Now it's Milosevic and his
cronies. Even though there is no threat to the UK, we will fight and
defeat him - these attrocities cannot be allowed to continue in Europe
at the end of the 20th C. If the British people were scepitcal when the
Nato bombing started, now we've seen the harrowing pictures, we're right
behind you!

I am deeply disturbed and concerned for yourseves and your people. Although
far away in South Africa, we keep up to date via CNN and this site.
It is clear to us that you are finding yourselves in the worst possible
position with the propaganda from the Serbian media doing a great job to
fuel the entire chaotic situation. Only when one continues to read and
absorb as much information as possible, does the picuture become clear.
Be assured that our prayers and thoughts are with you and we will hope that
the Nato bommings will in time offer a permanent breakthrough for democracy
not only in your country, but that it will proof a point for democracy. We
have been through some really terrible hardships in South Africa and I
remember the country being in virtual civil racial war when our then State
President, PW Botha, declared a state of emergency which lasted for a long
time. Many black people were tortured and killed and dumped in unknown
graves and it is only now that we are beginning to learn the facts and the
truth as the press were strictly controlled and censored. At the time, when
we watched news broadcasts from the UK or America, we thought we were being
targeted by propaganda. The reason for this was our own very effective
propaganda machine which brainwashed ordinary people like myself daily and
ongoing.
Remain dilligent in your effort with this site; it is a suberb site (under
the sad circumstances).
All our best wishes and we pray for a complete victory.
Regard

I have been hearing that President Clinton is hedging his bets--not such a good
thing from my point of view. I heard that he wishes to avoid indictment of Mr.
Slob because he believes he will have to be negotiated with later. I hope that
everyone involved here in the US remembers how much 'compromise' Mr. Slob
exercised in Kosova this past 3 weeks (in particular).
I am unhappy also that IF the US doesn't want to commit ground troops
(that
movement for the moment in the US seems to have stalled--at least until the next
major massacre), then it should arm the KLA. During the cold war, this was a
tactic that was common to both the US and USSR, and with all the differing
sentiments among the NATO countries, some of which are not sympathetic to the
Kosovars, it might really be the best solution.
At least in this fashion, we could really make a difference in the
region in a
positive way. I think that the Ramboullet agreement was voided when the Serbs
came across in force, and the people who make up the decision making body for
NATO are not flexible enough to see that there is any way that it could be
enforced--I think trying to do so would end up putting us in the same old
position--anti Americanism--which I am very tired of anyway. We will certainly
be in the usual rotten position of having to try to enforce an agreement that
nobody wants and having to enforce it couldn't be done with 28,000 troops
anyway, not while fighting both the KLA and Serbian guerilla movements both of
which will certainly hate our guts....
I think that President Clinton needs to at least write off Mr. Slob as
a
negotiator, indict him, and punish Serbia by taking one of the two
positions--either support Kosova as an independent country, or allow it to unite
with Albania if the people of Kosova wish to do so. Either way, the KLA would
then be raised to the status of a legitimate army in the eyes of the world and
not have to operate in the shadows and cracks of world recognition.
I have two questions though...
What do the Albanian Kosovars want? Their own independent nation or
unity with
Albania. That hasn't been made too clear. Is this a subject that is too touchy
right now for open discussion?
I just learned there is a Muslim minority in Serbia, in Sandzak which I
know
nothing about before. Could you set up direct links to at least one group in
each of the Balkan nations directly so people can gain experience about the
Balkan crisis as a whole when they visit your site?
It seems that wishy washy policy decisions here have really helped to
create
the constant theme of 'Yankee go Home!!' I hear around the world. We are going
to make enemies anyway, so let's just accept that and make some friends, too.
we have a saying here in America that we should really apply to our
foreign
policy.
"You can't please everybody."

I'm
curious...what country am I emailing this to. I want you to know that as an American, I
don't understand why the Serbs would do what they're doing. We did much of this to
American Indians a century ago. Today ..we live with much shame of what our ancestors have
done. The american indian still struggles with identity. I think this is why this is such
a crime in americans eyes...not to look at what Hitler did...but what we all have inside
us...and a hope we will never go there again. Or allow any entity in the world to project
Genocide on any race ...no matter what the reason. We are all God's children...to act

You've probably thought of this already - I don't read Albanian,
unfortunately - but just in case you haven't, may I offer a suggestion?
How about setting up a 'virtual Kosovo' on the web? It could be
subdivided, maybe even with graphics, in the same way as the physical
Kosovo. The names of people who had left the real Kosovo could be
listed, along with those of family and other people unaccounted for,
with notes of where they were, what had happened to them and requests
for information. This might help families who had been split up to
reunite; it would provide personal testimony of what had happened; it
might help bring to book the people responsible; it woud be accessible
worldwide. There are doubtless many Kosovars with computer experience
who would be only to glad to help set up and administer the site. Just a
suggestion; as I say, you've probably thought of this already. Good
luck.

Hello...
feel so terribly
sad when I see the state of the camps and
the long marches that you must undertake to find refuge. I am sad and
feel powerless as I see this on television. My prayers go out for you
and I wish you courage and fortitude to get through these hopeless times
. I think of you every day.
Sincerely,
Yolande from a small town in Northern Ontario Canada.

My family and I are praying for all of those on both sides that are caught
in this evil adventure by accident or design. The plight of those who have
been forced to leave their homes at the point of a gun will only be solved
when those who's hands hold the gun realize that might does NOT make right.
We are all the same, all created by God. Our differences that we see are all
manmade. Please, I plead to all, don't sacrifice your children's futures by
holding them slaves to the past. May Allah/God
watch over all of you. Peace to all of you.

I will send all my support to the Kosova people now. We are looking at
television every day and crying and praying for the whole situation and
sending money.
May there be an end of all this and a solution of the conflict and may
all Kosovan people - who want - be able to return to Kosova!
Love from
